Recently, and according to the Wall Street Journal on retirement, “Nearly Two-Thirds of Those Between 45 and 60 Plan Delays, a Steep Rise From Two Years Ago.”
Educate yourself; Implement and Be Consistent – IT’S CRUCIAL.
Consistency and like I say to the younger generation, start NOW, time and consistency make all the difference! It hurts less in the end and you’ll have so much more.
It’s pocket change – saving or finding $20 a week for retirement. That’s less than $3 a day for goodness sakes! A Starbucks is more than that! That works out to be $1,040 a year. Let’s say you managed that and you earned 8 percent average annual interest – so realistic. How much of a difference do you think it would make if you retired at age 65?
Well, if you started this retirement plan at say:
Age 20, you’ll have an extra $440,606.
Age 30, $191,618
Age 40, $79.443
Age 50, $28,906
And if you start at age 60 – a whopping $6,137. Now that’s not going to last long is it? And frankly, not even the $440,606 is going to probably last you through retirement. I mean, we’re living longer and inflation is going away either.
I know that so many people have been hurt financially in the last 12 years. And then there’s those folk that have thrown stuff on the wall to see what sticks and then by the time you’re 50 something, realized that NOTHING has stuck. Oops, now what? If you are right here, right now, there ARE options!!!
If you have one, turn your IRA or 401(k) or if you have neither, partner up for investing in cash-flowing real estate.
You could join a Direct Sales company – good ones will provide you with residual income. Just make certain that it’s one with integrity, providing products or services that will stand up to the changing times. Leadership, product and pay plan – all VERY IMPORTANT.
Or you could sell your stuff, rent something small and invest what you can in a number of things….. annuities, stocks, other businesses, real estate, etc.
I guess what I’m saying is there ARE options, but DO IT NOW. And, if you have any questions regarding any of the above, please ask me. I do have many years in direct sales and still work this and the financial industry. I have amazing information and resources that could help you with any of the above and others too. Please also feel free to start a dialogue regarding this subject! I love to learn!
